Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller Review

First of all: the Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller is NOT a twin stroller. It is a

Joovy Caboose Stand On

Joovy Caboose Tandem Stand On Stroller

travel system that works great for parents who have a toddler and are expecting a second baby. The Joovy Caboose Stand On basically consists in a frame that holds a stroller seat (or a car seat for infants) and behind it a platform for the older child to stand on. In case the toddler gets tired, the Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller provides a padded rear seat, much like a bank to sit on.

Joovy Caboose Stand On: The Baby seat

The Joovy Caboose Tandem comes with an universal car seat attachment, which enables you to strap in most modern infant car seats. For a complete list of car seat models that can be used, click here. With your car seat you can use the stroller right from the beginning – no need for a different stroller for your infant.

The front seat has two positions, but it doesn´t recline totally, due to the fact that the bigger child needs some space. Smaller children usually sleep well though when the seat is in the reclined position. The positions of the back rest are or 130° or 110°, the seat bottom is horizontal. If you feel that the head of your baby is bobbing around too much while asleep, you can always get a head rest like the Kiddopotamus Snuzzler Complete Head and Body Support. It is not very expensive and will add comfort and safety. There as an adaptable foot rest that can be adjusted to the size of the child. A big canopy provides shade from the sun. There is a child tray with a cup holder – if you don’t want to use it, just take it off.

The front seat as you buy it is thought for a baby from about six months old to a toddler up to 45 lbs.

Joovy Caboose Stand On: The Back Seat and Platform

The platform makes the Joovy Caboose attractive for the older child: it enjoys a lot of autonomy as it can get off and on the stroller by himself. The other advantage: no constant lifting of heavy toddlers for the parents. When the toddler gets tired, he can sit down on the padded rear seat, it comes with straps that allow you to buckle your kid in for greater safety. There are foam covered handles to hold on to. The platform  and back seat of the Joovy Caboose Tandem are thought for a toddler up to 45 lbs. Just for your orientation: I have normal sized twins that weigh about 35 lbs each at four years and a half (they pretty much have outgrown the stroller stage!) So 45 lbs should be more than enough.

The Material

The Joovy Caboose Tandem is made from rip-stop 600D nylon, a very durable material that is easy to clean, which is a huge advantage! Just brush it off with a soft brush or a sponge and a mild detergent and give it a good shower with the hose. No problem to clean out ice cream stains, leftovers form chocolate cookies… If you are parents of a toddler already (as I assume since you are reading this review) you will definitely know what I am talking about!

The front seat Joovy Caboose Tandem is fitted with a five point harness with reflective material makes it easier for drivers to see you at night.

The frame is very sturdy because of its square tubing, and sturdiness is an important feature when you are looking for a stroller that can handle two kids, believe me!

The Design

The Joovy Caboose Stand On is definitely one of the most compact, maneuverable tandem strollers available. It is extremely short for a tandem stroller (more like a single stroller), which makes it very easy to maneuvre, to get around tricky corners at a store isle and to go up and down curbs, situations that can be an authentic nightmare with a tandem stroller.

The Joovy Caboose folds up easily, the metal folding lock won´t brake or wear out after just a few trips. It is pretty small when folded up (height: 10,5“, width: 21,50“, depth: 43,00“) and leaves space in for more luggage or groceries in your car trunk.

Underneath there is a fairly large storage basked, to accommodate everything you need: diapers, toys, jackets…

Measurements:

Accessories for the Joovy Caboose

If you feel you need a place for your water bottle, keys, cellphone… while taking your kids for a walk with the Joovy Caboose Tandem, consider treating yourself to the Parent Organizer that goes with the stroller. Its trendy neoprene material helps keep your coffee hot or your water cold, the zipper storage pocket will prevent you from loosing your keys. It looks good on your stroller and is washable – added value to your Joovy Caboose!

For your baby’s comfort you can get the Joovy Caboose All Season Reversible Pad, that keeps the little passenger comfortable no matter how warm or cold it is. For cold weather there is a soft fleece side, while the reverse side of woven nylon mesh keeps moisture away from your baby’s skin in hot and humid weather. The pad is machine washable and easy to put on.

There is also a sunfilter and a raincover that will fit the Joovy Caboose and make trips in all kind of weather easier.

I think the Joovy Caboose Stand On Tandem Stroller is an intelligently designed double stroller for parents with two kids about 18 months or two years apart. It is versatile and made of high quality materials, and likely to last for the period you will need a stroller for your kids.

MacLaren Twin Stroller Review

The MacLaren Twin Triumph Stroller: A Stylish Twin Stroller for The City

Maclaren Twin Triumph Stroller is rather a high end stroller – you could even call it an “It Stroller”. It is very understatement and has become an accessory for parents who care about their image. But is is worth its (somewhat elevated) price? Read on to find out!

The Pro’s of the MacLaren Twin Stroller Triumph:

  • lightweight (21,6 lbs)MacLaren Twin Stroller

  • Limit for each seat: 55 lbs (very generous!)

  • fits even in small car trunks,

  • has lockable front swivel wheels

  • is very maneuverable

  • passes though most doors

  • lightweight heavy duty aluminium frame

  • has a handle for carry on

The Con’s of the MacLaren Twin Stroller Triumph:

  • is definitely not for cobble stone streets or offroad use

  • the basked is relatively small, so if you want to do a lot of grocery shopping with it you won’t be happy

  • there is no adapter for car seats
  • no cupholders or snack tray

The MacLaren Twin Stroller folds up really small and that makes it the perfect stroller for families who like to travel. It even leaves room for some luggage in the trunk and you don’t need to be a body builder to haul in into the car or get out.

The MacLaren Twin Stroller  Triumph is easy to handle and very maneuverable as long as you stay on good pavement. It has a small turning circle which is nice in crowded places. It is definitely not an off road stroller, you might actually already run into trouble on a gravel path. The handles are high enough to be comfortable even for tall dads, and while your kids are not too heavy yet, you even ca steer the twin Triumph single handed.

The relatively small basket is one of the down sides of this twin stroller. There is not much room for jackets, diapers and toys, let alone groceries. You can get a Maclaren Universal Organizer for Twin Strollers, it holds bottles, keys, phones, toys – all the smaller stuff. It will help some but you’d better bring your husband to carry the bags when you plan to do some serious shopping :-)

Another issue might be the fact that there is no possibility to strap in a car seat. Although the seats recline almost totally a newborn possibly won’t be comfortable in the MacLaren Twin Stroller Triumph. If you want to use it for an infant right away you can purchase a Head and Body Support to keep your baby safe and comfortable. From four to five months upward most babies are fine in a normal stroller seat.

The canopies don’t come down far enough to really protect your children from the sun. If you live in a sunny place that might be a concern. It comes with a plastic rain cover, that covers the entire stroller up.

I never owned a Maclaren Twin Triumph Stroller myself, just the single version. The MacLaren strollers are famous for being very sturdy but still light weight. I was really happy with my MacLaren stroller for this same reason: nothing wobbly or instable, even when loaded with child plus groceries. I had a cheaper umbrella type twin stroller and after it braking down in no time (like two months I think) wished I had bought a MacLaren Twin Stroller in the first place. It is after all one of the most attractive twin strollers on the market!

Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller Review

The Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller: A Sturdy Twin Stroller That Needs Space

The Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller is a stylish twin stroller with many advantages and some disadvantages – like anything in life. I hope this review helps you to decide if the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller is the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Strollertwin stroller for you. First the short version, than we go into greater detail:

Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller: The Pro´s

  • most car seats can be strapped in

  • each seat holds a toddler up to 40 lbs

  • folded size: 24 “x 25 “ x 42 “

  • stands by itself when folded up

  • Front wheels 8 “ swivel wheelsKolcraft double stroller

  • rear: 10 “ wheel that can’t go flat

  • length: 52”

  • widest width: 25,5 “

  • six different seat positions (see photos)

  • seats individually reclinable

  • seat covers are easily cleanableKolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller

  • adjustable foot rest

  • even the back seat has a lot of room

  • canopies do their job

  • can be turned in to a single stroller

  • parent tray with two cup holdersKolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller

  • sturdy stroller, good quality materials

  • navigates well for a tandem stroller

  • big basket for baby gear and groceries

  • easy and fast to assemble (lost your instructions? Here you go!)

  • the wheels take even tough ground pretty well

Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller: The Con´s

  • second car seat attachment (needed for twins) is sold separately

  • it is kind of on the heavy side 48 lbs)

  • you need to take the seats of to fold it flat

  • needs lots of space in the car trunk

  • the Kolcraft Contour Tandem is a HUGE stroller!

The Seats: the seats can be reclined, there are three positions, the first one being upright, the second one in between and the third one almost flat. The third position is perfect of one of your children wants to take a nap. The seats seem to be comfortable and sturdy, so even bigger children will be fine. They are covered with a durable material that can be cleaned without suffering too much, very important as you will possibly will have to clean it pretty often, at least if your kids are as messy as my twins are… The seats come with adjustable foot rests, so they grow with your kids.

The Canopies: unlike in some other strollers the canopies of the Kolcraft Double Stroller are long enough to really protect your children from the sun.

Fit in a car seat: if you want to use the Kolcraft Double Stroller for an infant and a toddler you ate fine: you can just take out one of the seats and fit in your babyseat – you don’t even have to wake up your sleeping baby to do so. Here is a list of car seat brands that will fit in the frame of the Kolcraft Contour Tandem. However, if you want to use it for twins, you need to purchase an additional car seat adapter, as the stroller comes only with one adapter for car seats. It costs between 20 and 30 dollar extra.

Turns into a single stroller: if you buy this stroller for an infant and a toddler, later on you (when your toddler doesn’t need a stroller anymore) you have the possibility to take out one of the seats and turn the Kolcraft Contour Tandem into a single stroller with huge storage room. That way you won’t need to buy an additional single stroller once your toddler has outgrown the stroller age.

The hold on handles help toddlers walk along securely, Kolcraft even incorporated an Easy Step In area that makes it possible for your toddler to get in.

Steering / Length: Although the Kolcraft Contours Tandem is a very long stroller it steers well. The front swivel wheels work really well and you won’t get stuck because of them (they can be a real pain if not designed well or of cheap material!). It is probably not the most comfortable stroller for crowded city centers or small shops, but if you have some space on hand, you won’t run into trouble. A problem (as in any tandem stroller) might be smaller elevators: you might not get in because it is too long. Bigger elevators (like the ones in public buildings or malls often are ot a problem, but if you have one in your apartment building make sure to measure it before purchasing a Kolcraft Contours Tandem Stroller.

Weight: this Kolcraft Double Stroller is a rather heavy stroller at 48 lbs. Once you ‘ve got it in motion it’s easy to handle. And the higher weight translates in good performance when it comes to two kids of different weight, you won’t even notice it. But you will notice the weight when hauling the stroller into the trunk of your car. Remember: the perfect twin stroller doesn’t exist…

The Kolcraft Contours Options  Stroller is a solid comfortable twin stroller, but it since it is big and kind of difficult to handle, it might not be the ideal stroller for trips to the mall or for running errands. It is the perfect stroller if you don’t have to fold up and store it in the car trunk too much, of if you own a large vehicle. It is also great if you live outside of the city center – the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller needs space to maneuver, but it takes bad pavement or even dirt roads well.

Instep Double Jogging Stroller Review

The InStep Safari Swivel Double Jogging Stroller has a whopping 218 reviews on Amazon (to date), four out of five stars being the average vote. It is a real jogger with big wheels that will handle off road terrain well and that you can actually use for jogging as the name suggests. The price is on the lower side for a stroller with these characteristica and although it is pretty complete, there are some amnemities that are missing. Here are the Pro’s and Con’s:Instep Double Jogging Stroller

Instep Double Jogging Stroller: The Pro´s

  • front wheel: 12 “
  • back wheels 16 “ – a real off road stroller
  • very agile
  • removable padded seat for smaller children (recomended from 6 months upward)
  • parent tray, but it is a soft one (more for keys and cell phone than a coffee)

Instep Double Jogging Stroller: The Con´s

  • less bells and whistles than more upscale double joggers (like the Bob Revolution Duallie)
  • the seats are hammock style. The kids don’t sit very upright
  • not for tall children, the seats don’t come all the way up to the canopy
  • does’nt have a hand brake
  • the sunshade doesn’t really do the job
  • it has kind of a big turn point
  • doesn’t fit through standard doors
  • the handle is too low for tall parents (it is probably fine til 59”)

Canopies: The canopies of the Instep Double Jogging Stroller come with a see trough window so you can control your kids. The sunshades are not the best ones though, if you live in a sunny area you might have to purchase additional sunshades.

Maneuverability: the InStep Safari Swivel Double Jogging Stroller is a stroller made for going for a walk or jogging, not necesarily going to the mall. The turning point is somewhat bigger than in other twin strollers, so you will probably be happier with it going for a walk than maneuvering it though cloth racks in a store. The big air filled wheels make it a great outdoor stroller though!

Size: The Instep Double Jogging Stroller is a pretty big stroller. It doesn’t fit through standard doors, you have to find double doors. It is kind of big for mobving it around in stores as well, the Instep Safari Double is definitelz more a stroller for outdoor activities.

Seats: The seats of the Instep Double Jogging Stroller are not too rigid, more like hammocks. Heavier kids might lean on eachother and not every child likes that. The seats don’t come up very far either, os the children are only half seated.

The InStep Safari Swivel Double Jogging Strolleris a good stroller for its price. Before buying it you might consider though whether you need items like parent tray (there is a basic one, but it is not very sturdy), cup holder, snack tray, sunshade… All these things can make the Instep Safari Double more expensive and ypu might be better off buying a more expensive jogger in the first place.

This is what I think about the InStep Safari Swivel Double Jogging Stroller: It seems to be a good stroller for its price. But I would probably not get it, there are too many drawbacks, the most important one in my eyes being that the kids can not sit upright. I had a double stroller with this particular problem and my twins hated it! The other concern is quality: after reading through all these reviews of the Instep Double Jogging Stroller, I think there are too many people complaining about poor quality at different points. My experience with our twins tells me that you should go for the highest quality you can afford. Otherwise you will run into trouble. It has happened to me three times with different twin strollers.

But then there are so many positive reviews… But I still would probably go for the BOB Revolution Duallie Stroller !

Graco Twin IPO Stroller Review

Graco Twin IPO Stroller Review: A Good Twin Stroller for a Great Price

I am kind of burnt when it comes to cheap twin strollers, I have bought three of them and neither was a nice experience. I still see myself with two very tired one and a half yeard olds and a broken down twin stroller, trying desperatly to get someone to pick us up… Something you would’nt want to happen even to your worst enemy…Graco Twin IPO Stroller

But the Graco Twin IPO Stroller seems to be an exeption to the golden rule when it comes to buying a twin stroller: don’t buy cheap. It looks a lot like his more expensive counterpart, the MacLaren and it is very comaparable when it comes to features – the big difference is the price.

The Graco Twin IPO Stroller is a sleek and pritty umbrella style twin stroller which can be used for children from six months to four years (aproximately). It doesn’t have extras like a cupholder or a snack tray, but it is easy to handle and a great stroller for a day in the zoo or longer trips.

The advantages and disadvantages at a glance:

Graco Twin IPO Stroller: The Pro´s

  • holds two children up to 50 lbs
  • folds easily and needs little space in the car trunk
  • adjustable leg rests
  • very sturdy for a stroller of this kind
  • seats are individually reclinable
  • front swivel wheels are lockable
  • generous (for an umbrella stroller) storing basket under each seat
  • the widest width is about 31 “ (a little more than the 26 “ the manufacturer states…)
  • steers well, very maneuverable
  • breaks work well
  • easy to asemble
  • has a handle to carry around comfortably when folded upGraco Twin IPO Stroller

Graco Twin IPO Stroller: The Con´s

  • it is on the heavy side: around 32 lbs
  • the hood is too low for taller kids (probably not the stroller for a four year old!)
  • doesn’t have cup holders
  • the canopy is a little flimsy

Capacity: the Graco Twin IPO Stroller holds two kids of up to 50 lbs each – that is a lot! My twins are almost four years old (and not on the small side) and weight around 37 lbs now. Some of the cheaper twin strollers will only allow kids up to 35 lbs each, so the Graco Twin IPO will be usable for a longer period of time. One of the few other umbrella type strollers that can hold two children up to 50 lbs is the MacLaren range of twin strollers – at a considerably higher price.

Folding the Graco Twin IPO up is very easy. It collapses to a very compact bundle that fits easily even in smaller trunks. It is heavier than other umbrella style twin strollers (32,5 lbs), so if you plan to carry it around a lot you might be better of with a MacLaren for example.

The front swivel wheels are lockable, which makes the Graco Twin easier to maneuver on tough ground. However, this kind of stroller is definitely not an offroader!

Is the Graco Twin IPO only for twins or does it work well for kids of different age, like a toddler and a baby? Although you can’t strap in a baby seat it works well for siblings of different age as well. The seats recline individually til an almost horizontal position, so a baby can sleep comfortably, while the toddler remains in a sitting position. Beware though: if your older child is really tall (and has had his fourth birthday alread), the Graco Twin IPO might not be ideal for you. Taller kids just don’t fit comfortably under the hood.

The handle comes handy when you need to carry around the folded up stroller. It can be carried around like a bag or suitcase and is very easy to transport this way, which makes it the perfect twin stroller for a trip on a bus or a plane. As a plus the Graco Twin IPO  has hooks that keep it neatly folded.

Do you get through standart doors? Yes, in most cases. Graeco says taht the stroller is 26 “ wide, but is seems to be a little more, around 31 “. But you still will be able to get through most standart doors if ypu make sure the wheels are lined up.

The biggest drawback is the canopy that is too high to be of real use and seems to be on the flimsy side.

The price: the Graco Twin IPO compares to more expensive stroller when it comes to the featurer – so the price is really sensational. For relatively little money you get a sturdy stroller that is easy to handle and comes with a lot of attractive features. Amazon had the best price when I was doing my research!

The Graco Twin IPO Strolleris a great stroller for day trips and vacation, for crowded places, for the Mall… With the Graco Twin IPO Stroller you gain a lot of flexibility and freedom – invaluable when you have small kids.

Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller Review 2011

The Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller comes in many pretty different colors. It is a very comfortable side by side stroller with a ton of features: both seats can be individually reclined (so one baby can sleep comfortably while the other one is awake). Each seat holds a kid til 45 lbs (my twins are almost four and weigh around 37 lbs). The handle is adjustable (for tall dads and small moms).Bumbleride Indie Twin

Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller: The Pro´s

  • very maneuverable, even on rough ground
  • very comfortable and sturdy
  • comes with infant head rest and shoulder pads
  • Comparably big basket
  • The footrests are adjustable to adapt to your growing twins
  • The front wheels can move 360° or be locked – this feature makes the Bumblebee very easy to handle on almost any kind of ground
  • Pocket on the back of each shade
  • Passes through regular size doors (just take the cup holder off)
  • Has won prizes (has to be for something, right?)
  • the handle is adjustable
  • Also good for a baby and a toddler, as you can strap in a baby seat (just one though)
  • I like the colors (I know, not that important – but who doesn’t like to sport a stylish stroller?)

Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller: The Con´s

  • Kind of big even when folded up
    Bumbleride Indie Twin

    folded up: 32 by 15

  • rather heavy (48 lbs)

Seats: The seats recline almost totally, so even a small baby will be comfortable. It comes with head rests and shoulder pads for babies. The fabric of the seat covers is removable and washable. You can strap in ONE car seat, the Bumbleride Indie Twin is compatible with the following car seats: Graco Safe Seat, Graco Snug Ride, Britax Companion, Peg Perego Primo Viaggio, Combi Center, Chicco Key Fit, Baby Trend Flex-Loc, Maxi Cosi

Shades: The Shades come really far down so your kids are well protected form the sun.(An exception is the flat position: if you want to use the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller with an infant you might

bumbleride indie twin canopy

Adjustable Canopy

have to get an additional sun shade). There is a pocket on the back of every shade that carries little things like keys, cellphones etc.

Folding it up: The Bumbleride Indie Twin needs space even when folded up , so you can’t fit too much luggage around it when put in the car trunk (doesn’t apply if you have or plan to get a bigger car because of the twins like we did :-)

Tires: The Bumbleride Indie Twin has 12 “ airfilled wheels, which makes the stroller an allround talent. It is compact enough to go shopping in the mall, but you will be equally happy on a trip to the zoo or at the football field. It is very easy to push, you can even steer it one handed. The front wheels can be locked to make it easier to push on rough ground

Remember: the stroller for your twins is like a tool for your new “profession” as twin parents and possibly one of the most important ones you will buy. So give it thought before buying and spend an appropriate amount of money – it might be different for every family, but you wouldn’t want shaddy working tools for your “real” job either, right?

If I would have to buy another twin stroller, the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller would definitely make the race!

Amazon and Diapers.com usually have the best prices – check for yourself!

Bob Revolution Duallie Stroller Review

Bob Revolution Duallie Stroller: The Jogger From The Pro’s

In one of the earlier posts I said if I would have to buy another twin stroller I would go for the Bumbleride Indie Twin. I take that back – I would choose the BOB Revolution  Stroller (although the Bumbleride Indie might be visually more appealing). It is not only the five star reviews in Amazon or Buzzillion, or the almost endless list of interesting features. I like the fact that the Bob Revolution Duallie Stroller is made by a company that specializes in offroad bike trailers. They have to understand about materials and high quality products – just what I am looking for in a twin jogger – quality and longlivity.

Bob Revolution Duallie Stroller: The Pro´s

  • 12 “ front swivel wheel, can be locked for jogging
  • very easy to push, even with bigger kids
  • seats indivudually reclinable
  • seats and harness padded for comfort
  • Stain resistant fabric on the seats
  • integrated pockets for toys etc.
  • individually adjustable canopies
  • carries two children up to 50 lbs each
  • fits through standard doors
  • Shock absorber system
  • Sturdy aluminium frame
  • parking brake
  • easy two step folding
  • there is very little plastic involved – speaks for the quality!
  • Bob Revolution Duallie Stroller: The Con´s

    • the price…
    • the basket underneath is not the biggest one and kind of hard to access
    • some might find it a little heavy, but that is the price you pay for sturdiness

The front swivel wheel makes for a smooth ride, if you want to go jogging, you can lock it in. The stroller comes with an air pump just in case. The shock absorber system works really well, so your kids will be comfortable and safe even on tough ground.

The Bob Revolution Stroller is narrow enough to fit through standard 32 “ doors, whcih makes it very versatile. With the BOB Revolution Stroller you have a stroller that works for jogging, walking and strolling through the mall. The shock absorber system makes walks on rough terrain comfortable and safe for your babies.

The seats are made of stain resistant fabric that cleanes easily – a very handy feature when you are dealing with messy toddlers. To clean it you can just hose it up and use a mild detergend on stains. They recline form vertical to almost horizontal (70 degrees) and have a good padding. There are two seat pockets and a pocket at the back of the seats, great for storing toys and snack boxes.

The canopies of the Bob Revolution Stroller are actually big enough to protect your children from the sun. The canopies are a weak point in lots of other strollers and if you live ina a sunny area you very often will have to purchase additional sunshades.

Conclusion: The Bob Revolution Stroller is not a cheap stroller – in any sense. But in the long run it might be cheaper to buy one good stroller than three crappy ones (or five, like I did…) The money you save by choosing a good stroller in the first place can be well spend on accessories, BOB offers a wide range Bob Revolution Duallie Strollerof really practical add ons for their twin strollers.

Another point to think about: since the BOB Revolution Duallie is a really sturdy stroller it might well outlive the period that your children will need it. BOB Revolution Duallies are in high demand and you’ll probably get a good price on Ebay for it!

Baby Trend Double Snap n Go Stroller Frame Review

baby trend double snap n go stroller

The Baby Trend Double Snap N Go Stroller: Not a Stroller but a Solution!

The Baby Trend Snap N Go Frame is not really a twin stroller, it is a frame that can hold two baby seats. This system has its advantages and disadvantages. It doesn’t only work with Baby Trend car seats but accepts most other brand baby seats as well.

Pro´s of the Baby Trend Double Snap N Go Stroller:

    • it is really lightweight
    • Folds and opens easily
    • Parenttray with two cupholders included
    • You don’t have to take the babies out of their seats to put them in the stroller
    • Front swivel wheels
    • the basket is good size
    • carry on handle

Con´s of the Baby Trend Double Snap N Go Stroller:

    • can’t use it when your babies outgrow their infant seats
    • it is long and kind of akward to push
    • there is some assembling to do
    • it is fine for good pavement, but can’t handle rough ground

The Baby Trend Snap N Go is a great tool for a very sprecific purpose. As I said in the beginning, it is not really a stroller, but a frame that can be used with your carseats.

There is a carry on handle that comes handy when you have to take the folded stroller anywhere.

Although the Baby Trend Snap N Go Frame is really lightweight, it is not too easy to steer, since it is really long and the growing weight of the babies will not make things easier. But since you will use this frame for a limited time only, it doesn’t matter too much. And you’ll get better with practice. When the babies ate getting bigger there is not really enough space for them anymore, the baby in the backseat will kick the one in the front seat. But again: when you reach this point, you know it is time to move on to the next twin stroller.

    Resumee:

The Baby Trend  Snap N Go Frame is a practical, lighweight and affordable solution for the first six months of your twins life.

It is not a stroller for two kids of different age though! It might be a good purchase, if you plan on getting a good quality jogger or umbrella stroller that can’t really acommodate infants. In this case you might not want to spend a whole lot of money for the first few months. And you can always sell it on Craiglist or Ebay, right?

Raising Twins What Parents Want to Know And

    Average Customer Rating

They may be identical, but they're not interchangeable--that's just one of the many things twins want you to know. Understanding the developmental differences between twins and singletons--and indeed between twin siblings themselves--not only helps parents of multiples, it also helps teachers, coaches, and pediatricians become more sensitive in relating to these special duos, whose occurrence is on the rise. In Raising Twins, coauthors Eileen M. Pearlman, Ph.D. (herself an identical twin) and Jill Alison Ganon present a guidebook that studies the unique development of multiples from toddlerhood through young adulthood, paying close attention to the special challenges twins face. The first quarter of the book contrasts the cognitive, emotional, and physical development of multiples against that of singletons, touching on topics like speech, socializing, peer pressure, and the journey toward independence. Parental testimonials and an intriguing chapter about twin myths from around the world are followed by a hodgepodge chapter called Getting Down to Business. Here the authors neatly explain the practical differences between handling twins and singletons, tossing in tips on safety, toilet habits, travel, and play dates. The authors' advice often comes straight from parents who've been there as well as the subjects themselves, who address topics like sharing, fighting, and jealousy, as well as the quite comical Things that people shouldn't say or ask us. With its clear, intelligent content and bite-sized topic coverage, Raising Twins makes an excellent resource for any adult involved in this happy task. --Liane Thomas ....read more

Twins Pregnancy Birth and the First Year of

    Average Customer Rating

    $5.00
The authors bill it as a truly epic journey: the voyage from pregnancy through a lifetime of parenting twins. Perinatologists Connie L. Agnew, M.D., and Alan H. Klein, M.D. (also a pediatrician) incorporate a winning combination of helpful facts, educated opinion, and candid roundtable discussions--a combination that nicely maps the journey's first course for expectant parents of multiples.

Those readers familiar with the ever-popular What to Expect When You're Expecting--a mainstay for first-time parents--will be delighted to see a similar format employed here. The pregnancy and birth chapters break down into chunks of gestational weeks, outlining basic fetal development, mom's changing body, and special transitional issues common to each trimester. These chapters are further enhanced by pencil illustrations of the mother's pregnant body (with a peekaboo view of the developing twins) and roundtable discussions involving the authors and a panel of twins' parents.

The book's second half delves into getting through that first, tough year. While ample information on labor and delivery overlaps both halves of the book, this second section spends more time focused on the growing babies and the challenges new parents face in their relationships with their children and with each other. Again, the roundtable discussions prove quite valuable; it's always nice to read encouraging words from those who have lived through preterm delivery, sleep deprivation, and older sibling regression. Growth charts and a helpful resource guide of organizations, periodicals, and retail outlets round out the package. --Liane Thomas ....read more

Side by Side Twin Stroller: Which One is For You?

So you have decided you want a side by side twin stroller for your babies, but wich one is the best? There is no general answer to this question, it depends on different factors:side by side twin stroller

    - which is your budget?
    - where do you live
    - what do you want to do with the stroller?
    - will you be using the stroller for twins or for an infant and a toddler?

Side by Side Twin Strollers That Go All The Way

If you need to navegate rough ground or want to use your side by side for family outings to go hiking, you are best off with a twin jogger like the InStep Run Around 2 Double Jogging Stroller.

What should you be looking for?

    - Big wheel, basically the bigger the better
    - a good suspension
    - heavy duty materials

Since twin joggers have to be made of good quality material (translates into as little plastic as possible) you can’t really expect them to be too lighweight. Twin joggers are not the best choice for trips to the mall or to take them on flights or other public transportation, since they tend to be biggish and some have a considerable weight.

Side by Side Twin Stroller On The Light Side

If you are looking for a side by twin stroller to hit the mall, you might go for an umbrella twin stroller. They are in general the twin strollers that weight less and fold up small. They are your ideal choice if you need to haul your twin stroller a lot in and out of the trunk of your car. They are great if you need to transport twins or a toddler and a baby trough Disney World or the likes. On the other hand they are basically useless if you plan a field trip, even bad pavement can be too much to handle for them.
The MacLaren Twin Strollers are known for their sturdiness, they can handle two kids of up to 50 lbs – but the price is kind of hefty. A better priced alternative is the Graco Twin Ipo, that gets rave reviews.

And then there is a great range of in between solutions, that try to combine the advantages of twin joggers and lightweigt twin strollers. They come in a variety od prices, which side by side  stroller is best for you depends on your budget and your circumstances…
